Safety Engineering

The most important aspect of rail technology development is the operating safety. Safety engineering is therefore a central component of Assystem services. We will provide you with a risk and hazard analysis according to EN 50126 and risk evaluations according to CSM-VO. We will support you in the provision of functional safety verification according to EN 50129 and SiRF/TeSiP. Our experts also evaluate the compliance of development processes according to relevant standards (EN 50126/ 50128/ 50129) and of hardware components according to the hardware criteria catalogue. We also take responsibility for safety management in the development of rail systems for our customers.

Our skills spectrum further includes the approval of rail systems according to national and future European regulations (e.g. BAU-STE, NTZ, BOStrab). In the new type approval area (NTZ), we offer our customers the compilation of test plans and process descriptions, performance of impact and conformity analysis, performance of safety engineering assessment, compilation of verification reports and other services. We support all phases of the NTZ (requirement specifications, technical specifications and the products).

We also offer acceptance and planning inspections in the BOStrab area to provide expert support for modification and new construction activities.
